24 Brush-and-Blend Painting Pages and a Paintbrush!
Cover a hard work surface with paper and wear protective clothing.
Remove a page from the pad. Dip the paintbrush into a container of water, blotting away excess water on a towel or napkin.
Use the damp paintbrush to brush and blend a patterned area. As you brush, the colors in the pattern will blend together to create a single paint color. The colors will continue to blend over time; allow 2-3 minutes for the color to develop before adding more water to that area.
After completing a patterned section, allow it to dry before painting the adjacent section.
For a younger child it may be easier to paint only the main image of the scene and leave the background unpainted.
Refresh water occasionally to get the best color.
When the painting is complete, allow it to dry for 1 hour, then display your masterpiece!
